Marching Band

The school’s band was originally established in 1957 and with the addition of its color guard in 2009, we were able to enrich its performance by making the band more well-rounded. Since 2007, our marching band has received outstanding ratings and won the municipal and National Students’ Music Competitions for 8 consecutive years. The school’s marching band has been well-received ever since its initiation and enjoyed considerable fame in Taoyuan. The band has been invited to take part of numerous music events and exchanges, including the Taoyuan and Chiayi City International Band Festivals, Taipei Marching Band and Honor Guard Show, Chung Yuan Christian University’s graduation ceremony and so forth.

Torch Caring Club

The club was named out of an inspiration for the students involved to become the torches that lights up even the darkest corner of the society and bright warmth to those in need. 

Steered by the core values of “empathy, ethics and professionalism”, students of the club are taught to empathize with those in need of their assistance, to uphold specific ethical values with their peers and improve their techniques of professional service as the fundamental goals that all members should strive to attain.

“There’s always room for improvement” is the club’s motto. With members’ collective strength and dedication, the club is set out to change the conventional belief that “voluntary clubs are all about working hard to serve others” and it welcomes all to join their ranks and “be creative and playful about the ways they can serve and make a difference”.
